How is your week organized?

The course consists of 3 sessions of 3 hours each. In addition, enough time remains to enjoy the landscape, the cities and all the goodies and beauty that the region has to offer. When you arrive there is a basket of goodies waiting for you so that you do not have to go shopping immediately. Of course we offer a nice bottle of wine.

Saturday – arrival

The apartment is ready for you from 2 p.m. You can spend this day exploring the area, you could stroll up to to the village church of Rocca Corneta. Arriving late? Don’t worry about groceries. The welcome package includes local specialties to make your own meal (with of course a nice bottle of wine). Before going to sleep, make a  fire in your own fire place and enjoy the peace of Pianello.

Sunday – free day

No waking up early today, Your Italian breakfast (cappuccino and brioche)is ready for you in the main course hal. In the afternoon, Stefania will make a contemporary Italian welcome lunch for you and you have the chance get to know the rest of the participants during lunch. The rest of the day you are free and you can do your shopping in the Coop or one of the other local supermarkets.

Monday – first day of the courses

Today is the first workshop day, which starts at 10.30 a.m. You will  also receive your recipe notebook for the rest of the course. The workshop ends at 14:00 with a lunch made of the dishes that you have made. You get a selection of selected wines and Marco explain  why these wines match the dishes. It might be a good idea to have a siesta after lunch. In the evening you are free and you can dine in one of the local restaurants (not included) .Tagliatella with ragu alla Bolognese Tortelloni buro  salvia Fior di Latte

Tuesday – second day of the courses

Today is the second workshop day. We will make 3 Tuscan regional dishes and of course have lunch with the dishes we made today. Aperitifos and matching wines are included at this lunch. In the afternoon you could take a dip in the river in the valley. In the evening you can of course make your own light dinner or eat out. Marco and Steffi are happy to advise you. Wednesday – third  day of the courses

The last workshop day! Today you learn to make the Italian classic; Pizza! The pizzas are baked in the wood-fired oven and immediately eaten from the oven. And of course with tasty wines. With a simple pizza stone you can make the pizza recipe at home as often as you want. Pizza from the wood fired oven.

Thursday – free day

Today is a day off and you can just relax by the pool and enjoy the view with a glass of Marco’s wine. If you want more culture, you could go to Bologna, Florence and Lucca. But you could also consider the smaller and quieter cities such as Modena and Pistoia where you can spend a wonderful day in real Italian atmospheres.

Friday – day off

Today you can visit interesting places on your own. Visit local producers for example, the Parmigiano Reggiano factory or visit a Balsamico producer. You could also do an outdoor activity: walk to Corno alla Scala or rent e-bikes. In the evening there is a reservation for everyone at the restaurant  Tibidi (this is included in the course).

Saturday – departure day

Time to say goodbye to your apartment in the morning. But you can leave your luggage for a while and make full use of this day to do your shopping before you go home. You will definitely want to take home the ingredients that you have learned about this week!
