FAQ

There are 2 airports where we are easily accessible, namely Bologna airport and Pisa airport. Bologna is approximately 1 hour away and Pisa is 15 minutes further away from us. There are more flights to Bologna, but Pisa is a smaller airport where you will be on your way sooner.

We advise everyone to rent a car with your flight. The road to us is not difficult and on the days that you do not follow a course you have the freedom to make beautiful day trips to the beautiful cities in the area or to Corno alle Scale for example, which is a beautiful regional nature reserve, where you can really walk or mountain bike. You can also rent an (electric) mountain bike in the area. If you prefer not to rent a car then take the train to Porretta Terme and then a taxi to Rocca Corneta (our location). You can find information about the trains at http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en. Please note that you do not book your flights too late in the evening because the trains do not run until late in the evening.

The course is in English but our courses are really “hands on” so there is Anglo Italian explenations, but paying attention is just as important. Of course you always pick up some Italian from our cooks and Marco.

Almost never a problem. State this in the last field Special Requests of the application form and we will include this in our offer. A day shorter is usually also possible.

We get this request often and this is no problem at all. Of course we assume that the person will want to enjoy lunches and dinner with the rest. If you indicate this in Special Requests, we will make an adapted offer.

No problem, an important part of our dishes are without meat or fish and it is very well possible during our courses to make customized vegetarian dishes for you with vegetarian ingredients.

You pay 20% in advance to turn your request into a booking, the remaining amount you pay in Italy by debit card, credit card or in cash.

Absolutely so, you will get an apartment for yourself but you will have the fun of cooking together with the group. You pay a little more for your apartment but you have all the privacy you want but but all activities you do together.

Italians take food seriously but it is not that you have to be able to cook well in order to follow the course. All this cooking of course does not interfere with socializing and having a great time.

Breakfast is included on days of the courses. This is an Italian breakfast, cappuccino, brioche’s and often other goodies.

If you book with more than 8 people at the same time, we can make an interesting a group offer with custom activities.

Upon arrival you will receive a welcome basket from which  you can make a nice but simple meal the first evening, with of course a bottle of wine.

If you complete the form, you will receive a non-binding offer from us. In this offer we summarize your request. If you transfer the down payment amount to us, your option will become a booking and we will put you in our agenda. Once again our first offer is completely free of obligation but we would like to hear from you if you do not accept our offer. Of course no hard feelings if you decline but we hope to welcome you another time.
